# Models & Languages

Text-to-speech language support depends on the model (base URL) used. Each model has
one primary language, and also has some support for other languages, which is useful
for short passages in another language within text that is otherwise in the model's
primary language.

English is the default model in the [Python](./sdks/python) and
[TypeScript](./sdks/type-script) SDKs.

There are predefined constants for the English and Ukrainian models in the SDKs, for
example in Python:
